I got an update notification that VMware Workstation version 17 was available to download and the upgrade was done. My Virtual Machine’s wouldn’t start up, that was a bad thing. So after several hours, and with help from a post I made to Reddit r/vmware The workaround was to disable 3D Graphics in the VMware
